Custom “Guided Experience”
One of the tasks assigned to our team was bringing a page-by-page “guided experience” view for Service Catalog items to the Service Portal, with a refreshed UI that allowed users to take a number of actions on a given request. One of my fellow developers brought this functionality to life following the UX design I provided.
Notice the prominent toggle switch that allows users to select either the traditional form view, shown here, or the paginated “Guided Experience,” shown below.
The layout was carefully considered to ensure changing views would provide users with a smooth, easily understood transition. Tools and actions are located in the same location at the top of the form regardless of view to ensure users find them readily available in both experiences.
