ITSM - Finance with custom functionality
Where we started.
Client’s existing Service Portal was largely left out-of-box, with some minor style changes to reflect company brand, with no changes to functionality that would reflect the needs of the organization’s users.
How it’s going.
After extensive conversation with the client’s project team, including iterative wireframes and mockups, a definative design direction was reached that reflected brand’s dark, tech-savvy mood, while remaining friendly and approachable enough for the average user. This implementation included a number of custom functionalities, which are detailed below.
Custom header utilizing two navigation menus with role-restricted items. Header was built with extensive use of theme-level SCSS variables to ensure colors could easily be configured.
Based on the use of Service Portal menus, the contact information section uses a custom script include to show the user only contact information relevant to the location set in the user profile.
Quick Links: Allows client to easily configure up to three distinct showcase items. Styling is configured to present an optimized layout for one item or multiple.
Quick Links styling includes optimized layout for mobile devices to ensure optimal viewing of vital information on any device.
